What are feminist movements?
They mobilize to challenge the beliefs, social norms, and discriminatory systems that lead to gender inequality, gender-based violence and toxic practices.
For feminist activists, organizations and movements to lead equally, safely and freely in both online and offline spaces, they must be supported so that they can grow in strength, capacity and reach. They are the ones who expose and challenge how patriarchal practices interact with other forms of inequality, and they need protection from violent anti-rights and anti-feminist backlash.
Young people must be supported in creating and implementing their own campaigns. Many of these young people are students, whom Oxfam actively supports in establishing synergies between young campaigners so that they can influence education practices and content.
